A vacancy has arisen in the Tdh Mission in Albania for Community Youth Specialist based nearby mini-Municipality 4 of Tirana.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
TheCommunity & Youth Specialist (CYS), based nearby the mini-Municipality 4 of Tirana and under the supervision of the Tdh Child Protection Unit Coordinator, is responsible for supporting the Child Protection Unit established in the mini-Municipality, by working closely with the Child Protection Worker and other actors of the child protection system such as children, parents, teachers, social services, community members, community-based organizations (CBOs), and partners at local level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
CYS is the primary counterpart of the Child Protection Worker and supports him/her in managing cases of children at risk or victims of abuse and exploitation through:
- contributing to the case management process, through assessment of children’s needs, joint-family visits, support in developing individual plans for children, support in following up assistance for children and families
- providing support and contributing to the coordination and implementation of all preventive, sensitizing and educative activities undertaken in the frame of the CPU;
- supporting and fostering collaboration with local partners;
- supporting the full and efficient implementation of the Child Protection Safety Net project of Tdh
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Background in social field, preferably a qualified social worker
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of children's rights
- Competences and experiences in working with children and families
- Good communication skills
- Good team player
- Good knowledge of English ( written/read)
- Good skills in IT use
