POSITION REQUIRED: HOSTESS in the Restaurant


POSITION PURPOSE

To receive the guests in a courteous manner, accepting reservations and assistance with the service. To ensure a high degree of guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous and efficient service whilst operating to the established standards and goals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Sells to guests the restaurant specialties and seasonal items.
  • Takes Guest Reservations in a helpful and organized manner.
  • Is well aware of the wine list and menu items by category, type and attribute in order to be able to sell/recommend/discuss them.
  • Greets guests in a friendly courteous manner.
  • Seat guests courteously and in a manner to satisfy their requirements.
  • Ensures that the service follows the established style.
  • Satisfies guest complaints and requests wherever possible.
  • Responsible that operational supplies and equipment are used properly and in good

condition.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education: High School
Language: Fluent English
