On behalf of our client, one of the largest infrastructure firms in the Middle East we are looking for a potential candidate for the position of Sr. GiS Consultant in Qatar.

General Summary: Sr. GiS Consultant is responsible for collecting, analyzing and storing geographical data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Project management of numerous GiS project
- Client liaison
- Quality assistance of team work
- Budget and financial forecasting for projects
- Hands on GiS mapping for a varied environmental project work load
- Developing and maintaining the ArcGiS server environment

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in Geography / Gis, Computer Science or related
- 15 years’ experience in GiS application development and scripting languages (.NET, Python), MapInfo, MapBasic
- Relevant experience with Python scripting, spatial RDBMS such as PostgreSQL/PostGiS
- Comfort with web scripting languages and technology such as PHP, Javascript, Silverlight, FLEX, XML, AJAX, SOAP

Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written English level
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve GiS spatial analysis challenges
