Cook, salary $ 1100
Role: The Cook is responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and food safety on food products prepared.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cooks quality meals in sufficient quantities based on orders/forecasts by doing the following:
- Ensuring that operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard.
- Completing basic food hygiene, works in a safe and hygienic manner at all times.
- Communicating any out of stock items and inform Chief
- Cook and Purchasing Specialist when stocks are running low.
- Completing all checklists as required daily, weekly and monthly as required for the outlet.
- Assisting in the performance of other special duties and projects as needed in support of organizational goals
Required Education and Experience:
- Certifications in Culinary and Cooking.
- High-level knowledge on general kitchen/culinary/baking/commissary operations such as Garde Mancher cum pantry, Bakery and Pastry, Hot Kitchen, Butchery and snack preparation.
- At least 5 years work experience in culinary and kitchen preferably in retail/leisure/travel/tourism/ hotel/hospitality industry.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage time and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Technical ability and knowledge of kitchen equipment
- English language proficiency.
