Technical Supervisor

Our Client is an international firm operating under concession agreement in Hydro power production field.

Position Summary:

Technical Supervisor - Applicant will be required to oversee on site construction of a Hydro Power Station. This is a full time project position with excellent pay, full benefits, and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the construction process from conceptual development through final construction, making sure planned tasks get done on time and within budget.
  • Development of standard processes
  • Plan, direct, schedule, and monitor the progress of multiple construction crews and other related services and equipment in the field.
  • Coordinate multiple major activities at the same time.
  • Track daily project costs and work within a defined budget.
  • Interface with various disciplines, such as, engineering, purchasing, maintenance, completions and work-over personnel.
  • Responsible for upholding safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and attend monthly safety meetings.

Requirements:

  • Technical: good knowledge in mechanical design, material properties, stress analysis etc.
  • Site installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance
  • Time schedule: ability to setup a time schedule, to identify the critical path, to manage the priorities of tasks to be performed by suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Autonomy: ability to take decisions and manage people and suppliers
  • Communication: Excellent English skills
  • Exhibit flexibility and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Should be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences, changes, and delays.
  • Willingly accept responsibility and accountability with a positive attitude
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork - work effectively with others outside the line of normal authority to accomplish goals

Experience:

  • Working knowledge of similar construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret various engineering designs and Isometric drawings.
  • Have a proficient understanding of construction materials specifications.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

Education:

  • Engineering diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiar with computers and software programs for job costing, estimating, online collaboration, scheduling, and daily/weekly reporting.
