Country Manager Albania


Our client is a Swedish Group, world leader in productivity solutions, with Central Europe operations headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic. The operations in Albania are run for many years via a Representative Office and we are now looking for an experienced and dynamic new Country Manager in Tirana who will be responsible for business development for products (capital vehicles & equipment, consumables and spare parts mainly for construction, mining etc) within the territory of Albania. The after sales service in Albania is rendered by Distributors operating successfully for a few years.

Job description:

This is a position which reports directly to General Manager located in Prague, represents a great opportunity to showcase your skills and experience in what is today an exciting, challenging and competitive market. It is also a demanding hands-on job which includes extensive traveling and may require extended working hours.

From an administrative perspective, you will also be legally responsible for the Albanian Representative Office ensuring compliance with the local legislative requirements.

The position has responsibility for business development and marketing activities in line with the strategies outlined by the Business Lines/ General Management of Central Europe Headquarters.

More specifically, the responsibility of this position includes:

  • Strengthening existing customer relationships
  • Getting new customers and making plans in consultation with Business Line Managers in Prague to propagate the products needed by customers in Albania
  • Identifying geographical areas/ market segments in Albania for growth
  • Meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual targets as this is a very performance oriented job
  • Tracking the market shares ( business won- lost ) within the territory
  • Keep track of key competitor actions
  • Identifying areas for improving customer satisfaction
  • Strengthening distributors cooperation in the territory
  • Monthly reports to the General Management of the Central Europe Headquarters

Profile requirements:

  • You will need to have over 10 years work experience, most of it in marketing and B2B sales of products/productivity solutions, preferably to construction companies and mining/ exploration customers and ought to have a successful / proven track record
  • Experience dealing with administration and local legislation within Albania would be an added advantage
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Albanian is a must
  • You have a University degree in technical or business field

  • Self motivated and having displayed a high level of responsibility
  • Loyalty to organization and respect for ethical behavior is paramount
  • Good business sense should have been demonstrated in existing job as this is a pre-requisite in this profile
  • Excellent commercial, diplomatic and negotiating skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills, to create trustworthy and fair relations with colleagues, distributors and customers.
