Product Manager - Medical Devices



Our client is a well-established and successful medical devices firm, dealing with a range of globally known products. Holding excellent market share, our client now seeks a new Product Manager. You will be marketing and selling a range of medical devices and supplies, and much of your time will be spent in hospitals and clinics, including time in theatres with surgeons. Liaising with procurement departments is also involved. With excellent training and on-going sales career opportunities, this could be the firm in which to make your mark!


Responsibilities:
  • Delivering the Sales Target for portfolio
  • Developing marketing plans (focusing on value proposition, marketing mix, life cycle management and key investment choices)
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for the given line of products, for new and existing markets
  • Leading market research to identify market needs and the corresponding product solution opportunities
  • Establishing relationships with key opinion leaders in the field
  • Acquiring and analyzing feedback from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, third party market research and internal stakeholders
  • Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry in general and more specifically, the segments targeted by assigned products

The successful sales candidate will have the following skills:
  • Strong field sales skills
  • Experience of selling into hospitals
  • A desire to move into theatre sales and the credibility to deal with surgeons is key here
  • Outgoing, confident and a strong work ethic
  • Hungry sales professional with the sheer will to succeed

Other requirements:
  • University Diploma, preferably in Medicine, Business or Engineering
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibility in a marketing and commercial role within a similar company (healthcare or medical Industries)
  • Very good English skills
  • Very good computer skills
  • New product development or product management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong track record in marketing; with specific focus on product management
