"Terre des hommes" Mission in Albania
A vacancy has arisen in the Tdh Mission in Albania for Program Manager based in Tirana.
General information about Terre des hommes
Terre des hommes (Tdh), a Swiss foundation based in Lausanne, without preoccupation of political, racial or confessional bias, has been active in Albania since 1993. Based on its Charter and the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, Terre des hommes intervenes in 30 countries of the world, to improve the situation of children. In Albania, Terre des hommes has been running projects that aim to tackle issues of child trafficking and child protection and implemented a 3-year project to support the development of a child protection system. Its new projects will continue to focus on strengthening capacities, policies and practices for responding to the needs of children at risk or victims of abuse.
Terre des hommes is recruiting a Program Manager responsible for the overall management and supervision of the various projects implemented by Terre des hommes Mission in Albania.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Overall supervision and management of projects and related staff on child protection related issues
Assist Head of Mission in strategic program development and implementation
Contribute to fundraising and reporting
Lead the communication, research and advocacy work of Tdh
Represent Tdh in Albania in various advocacy meeting and events.
Qualifications and experiences
Background in social field ( MA in a social related are is a preference)
At least 5 years of experience in managing projects on child rights, community based or any related issues
Excellent writing and communication skills
Experience in advocacy and lobbying in human rights
Demonstrated experience in fundraising
Good team player
Proficiency in English and fluent Albanian language is an absolute requirement
The titular will conduct his/ her duties in respect of the Charter of Terre des hommes, the Child Protection Policy and the Convention of the Rights of the Child.
