CNC og maskineringsområdet er stort og omfattende.
Mine kandidater må være selvstendige operatører som kanprogrammere / re-programmere sine maskiner. De må kunne rigge opp sine maskinermed riktig verktøy og med riktig oppspenning. De må kunne gå inn i produksjonen( maskinen) og foreta kalibrering/ kontroll av produktet og justere/programmeremaskinen om nødvendig.
CNC bedriftene opererer ofte med styresystemer som heterFanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain eller Mazatrol, og med programmer fra Solid Works,Edge Cam og Solid Cam. Noen ganger er det dreiere ( turning /lathe operators) eller så er det fresere ( millingoperators).
