DRY FOOD MANAGER

Responsibilities:



As a department manager in the retail industry, you'll be responsible for managing Dry Food Department in Mercator Hypermarket Tirana



You'll be responsible for activities such as merchandising, stock availability, profit protection, sales, profitability, and account analysis, forecasting and general day-to-day management of your department.



You'll look after customer service for your trading area. Recruitment, training and management are also among your duties, as is selling to the public and developing contacts with potential customers



You'll report to the Hypermarket Manager, and work closely with him, as well as other supervisors and managers. You will also work closely with buyers and merchandisers on issues such as strategy.



Hours and Environment



Normally, you'll work 40 hours a week. This is likely to include weekends and possibly evenings.



You will have an office base in the store, but will spend much of your time on the shop floor

Personal Requirements:

Education: bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics or other related field;
Previous experience:
- over 3 years of previous relevant experience as a Food Manager;
- previous experience of managing a reasonable number of employees in the department;
- previous experience in preparing reports and analysis related to the commercial area;
Languages: fluent written and spoken English & Albanian language, other languages are an advantage;
Computer skills: very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, ability in preparing reports & presentations;
Driving License: category B;
