Location: Tirana
Deadline for application: 15 June 2011
Type of contract: full time
Duration: 1 year, with probation period of 3 months and with possibility of extension.

Background of the organization:
RASP (Rural Association Support Programme) is a nongovernmental, not for profit organization aiming to contribute in rural development in Albania. The purpose of RASP is to stimulate opportunities for people in marginal areas, to improve their livelihoods and reduce poverty, through assistance in forming and strengthening voluntary groups and associations and developing their capacities for constructive lobbying and influencing of decision-makers, in order to improve policies and services. RASP is currently seeking a highly motivated person to work in position of programme officer. We offer the chance to work on a diverse and dynamic range of activities that gives to people a very rich and interesting experience.
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:

University degree, preferably in Social work, Agriculture, or environment:
At least three year work experience in Non government, not for profit organizations.
Very good knowledge in written and spoken English
Familiarity with and a strong interest in rural and environmental issues
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in group
Very Good organization and facilitation skills, creative thinker, good time management and proven ability to work under pressure
Available to travel in project areas.

Main duties and responsibilities:


Work closely with the director in preparing proposals and narrative reports for the projects run by the organization; prepare the work plans and periodic reports.
Establish and maintain good relation with key actors involved in the projects. Prepare and Coordinate activities related to field work. Assist in preparation of training materials; and facilitate trainings as well as prepare tailor-made training modules
Support day to day activities of the organization. Manage the information and documents
Be the responsible person for preparing and editing the outreach materials for RASP
Actively participate in other activities of the organization.
Additional responsibilities may be agreed upon dependent on specific skills and interests
