Financial Controller


Our Client, a global research based pharmaceutical company is looking for an energetic candidate who is organized, highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment , to fill the new Financial Controller vacancy.


Job Purpose:


FC contributes to business via daily/accurate transactional accounting and ensuring that the company financial statements are fully in line with local accounting/tax legislation as well as with the company accounting principles and standards.
It contributes to value creation with appropriate decision support, resource allocation and performance measurement, whereby he/she maintains an appropriate local internal control environment.
FC shall report to Country Manager and will have dotted line reporting to the Regional CFO.


Responsibilities:


Statutory requirements: Completion and filing of all local statutory accounts/reports, tax and other similar returns in accordance with the required local standards and deadlines. Manage relations with local external auditors.
Cash and Treasury: Responsible for timely payments to the suppliers, as well as to manage relations with local banks. Provides professional stewardship of the company’s cash, in conformance with policies and procedures.. Ensures that the local company is properly funded.
Tax: keep all local tax and other fiscal incentives, obligations fully in line with local legislation.
Management Accounting: Responsible for compliance with the company Accounting Polices and standards, month-end process and other requirements for timely and accurate submission.
Business Performance: As a member of local management group, share the key responsibility for the achievement of consolidated contribution target.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead and coordinate the local forecasting and budgeting process.Responsible for timely/accurate preparation of reports for Country Manager, CFO and CEEMEA Management
Internal control: Implement and maintain effective and relevant financial controls within the local company. Responsible for Polices and Procedures and successful passing internal (GIA) / external Audits
Strategic Analysis of : Margins, profitability, personnel ratios

Requirements:


The Candidate should be a results-oriented professional who is experienced in accounting, timely monthly financial reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and treasury management. Position requires a rich mix of technical accounting, reporting, and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master degree or any professonal certification would be a plus
3 + (hands-on) accounting or finance experience, preferably with international company.
Self confident and able to provide constructive feedback/opinions on all business matters
Excellent proficiency with MS Excel; experience with an ERP system would be an asset
Very good knowledge of English
Strong analytical skills and accuracy
Integrity
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Proactive approach
Able to work as a team with everyone in the company
