Job title: IP Telephony Engineer
Department: Telephony
Reports to: Head of the Department
Job Description
The applicant will be responsible for the configuration of IP networking devices such as switches, ATA, IP Phones and also the execution of work orders per telephony services. The applicant should be able to work on standby basis. He will also have tasks like monitoring and solve problems regarding IP Telephony platform. Training will be provided on the selected applicant for the telephony platform.
Tasks and Responsibilities
§Configuration of IP networking devices, mainly telephony.
Execute work order for telephony services
Monitor and give immediate solutions on problems regarding telephony platform
Respond to emergency calls
Able to get responsibilities and fullfill department plans.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
Work Experience: 1-2 years experience in IP Networking
1 year of experience in IP Telephony (recommended but not a must)
Personal skills:
·Good organizing, communications skills.
·Able to prioritize tasks in order to achieve deadlines
·Skillful and willing to learn fast.
·Very good communication skills
·Able to work in a group
·Speaking and writing in English should at minimum medium level.
