JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
OSP Manager
Outside Plant (OSP) Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage, coach and motivate a team of OSP engineers, crew leaders and field associates to ensure accountability and productivity for all OSP works
· Contributes to the development of the organization’s field operational strategy, including maintenance activities and fault restoration procedures
· Meet with Management Team and internal personnel to establish timelines and OSP information for total project support
· Oversee OSP works and direct all related activities
· Provide complete project management from scoping to the close of project
· Continuously research ways to increase productivity and reduce expenses
· Develop and maintain written records and procedures as required
· Prepare weekly reports detailing activity
· Identify, record, follow up and prepare corrective actions for all OSP dependencies
· Interact, if needed, with local authorities for OSP permits requirements
· Coordinating with the relevant authorities for any works that may affect the integrity of the OSP
· Proactively ensure all company safety policies, procedures and programs are adhered to as well as following all National regulations
The position reports to the company’s C.T.O.
Skills
· Minimum of three (3) year of Telecoms Outside Plant Engineering work experience
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work under pressure
· Experience in project management
· Knowledgeable of current fibre optic technologies and related outside plant requirements
· Good understanding of fibre optic measurement tools and techniques
· Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
· University degree in one of the following areas: Telecoms, Electrical, Electronics, Computers, or Civil engineering
· Must be fluent with the English language (reading, writing and speaking)
