JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
OSP Engineer
Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
· Participate with the preparation and follow up of the OSP activities and project implementation plan
· Participate in project meetings with Contractors to review the project progress and OSP dependencies
· Communicate and escalate all project implementation discrepancies against the implementation plan to OSP Manager
· Coordination and weekly reporting of ongoing OSP works
· Inspection of ongoing OSP works according to drawings and specifications
· Maintain proper and accurate documentation of all OSP activities along with as-built drawings
· Perform OSP site surveys
· Receive and perform the assigned tasks as directed by the OSP Manager
· Assist the OSP Manager to develop OSP operation & maintenance procedures.
· Participate in the OSP acceptance procedure
The position reports to the OSP Manager
Skills
· Minimum of one (1) year of Telecoms Outside Plant Engineering work experience
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Knowledgeable of current fibre optic technologies and related outside plant requirements
· Basic understanding of fibre optic measurement tools and techniques
· Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
· University degree in one of the following areas: Telecoms, Electrical, Electronics, Computers, or Civil engineering
· Must be fluent with the English language (reading, writing and speaking)
