IT Support Specialist
Our company is currently seeking one (1) IT Support Specialist
Responsibilities
Technical Support
• Configure, upgrade, setup, and install computer hardware, software, and other equipment such as network routers, switches, phones, Internet modems, and Ethernet cabling
• Provide first line technical and deskside user support for all software, hardware, network, and telecommunications problems
• Log, prioritize and track service requests
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or connectivity problems, escalate problems/tasks when appropriate to internal IT senior staff or third party vendors in accordance with established procedures
• Respond to move, add, change requests including physically moving technology, running cabling, working on and below counters and desks, and transporting equipment between sites
• Maintain and update software and install approved hot fixes and patches
• Provide individual and/or group instruction and training to users on computer technologies
• Coordinate with other IT staff and users to identify the need for new systems or reengineering of existing systems and recommend enhancements and modifications to improve IT operations
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
• 1+ year of experience in a similar position
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related equivalent
