Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for All aspects of Maintaining the corporate application servers.
As Systems Administrator you would be responsible for
Configuring, Maintaining, and updating all servers and network hardware
Responsible for all system backups and network security (Anti-Virus software and firewalls)
Maintain Active Directory and internal DNS
Maintain Storage Area Network, WAN and VPN
Perform OS updates on servers
Manage software licensing- ensuring compliance
Maintaining internal and customer related domain name registrations
Manage internal and external email addresses POP3, SMTP and MS Exchange 2007
Required Skills
3+ Years Experience in a Systems Administration role in a production environment
Proven experience with TCP/P, VPN, DNS and WLAN technologies
Extensive experience with Windows Servers(2000/2003/2008) and VMWare Virtual Servers
Experience in Root Cause analysis and Problem determination processes
Experience with Disaster Recovery related processes
Working knowledge on network, systems and application monitoring
Knowledge of basic Networking and Troubleshooting
Knowledge of Remote Server Management
Knowledge of any of the following is a definite asset: IIS, SQL, Exchange, Oracle, LDAP, Apache
Experience working with POP/SMTP/ Microsoft Exchange Mail Services
Experience with IBM Hardware including blade chassis and servers
Scripting/Programming knowledge is an asset
Strong documentation skill
Must be proactive, possess project implementation skills
Must be adept at managing multiple concurrent requests
Team player and Effective communicator
