Job position: Receiving Manager
Department: Operational Department
Location: Tirana East Gate, (TEG), Tirana
Summary: To coordinate and manage the process of receiving goods, both local and imported, in line with the orders; confirms the receiving and distribution of the goods to the store so as to contribute to the effectiveness of the store operations following the policies and the procedures of the Hypermarket.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, executes, managers and controls all daily activities associated with the effective receiving and handling of the goods to ensure the receiving dock operates at maximum efficiency and according to the Hypermarket standards and procedures;- Controls and verifies incoming goods (both from local suppliers and imported from other countries) to ensure the goods arrive in line with the orders, in the required quantity, quality, time and condition;- Keeps records in daily receiving logs, files the invoices and other relevant documentation, prepares reports for the damaged goods;- Ensures the goods are arranged according to their technical specifics and the relevant departments are informed on any changes;- Organizes the returning of goods to suppliers and ensures the process complies with the Hypermarket standards and procedures;- Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of the load lifters and ensures the employees follow the safety instructions and use the equipment properly;- Responsible for and tracks all the packaging of the suppliers according to the Hypermarket standards and procedures;- Ensures the cleanness of the receiving area and the free access of the receiving dock;- Organizes, supervisors and evaluates the work of the department employees, prepares the weekly schedule and participates in HR activities like recruitment, training, performance appraisal, disciplinary measures etc;- Provides necessary training to the department employees on the receiving processes and on the safety of operations in the receiving area;- Prepares, monitors and controls monthly and quarterly schedules for the department employees, organizes the daily briefings on the department activities, monitors and improves the effectiveness of the department in order to achieve the department targets;- Maintains safe and healthy work environment and ensures the department employees rigorously comply with the Hypermarket health and safety policies and procedures;- Responsible for the physical value of the stock together with the rest of the Hypermarket team;- Prepares the daily/weekly/monthly and other reports as per request of the Store Manager;- Works closely with the Department Managers and Inventory Managers;- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or other respective authorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:University Degree.
- Work Experiences: 2-3 experience in the retail industry.
- Additional qualifications:
- License for driving load lifters and lift heavy weights.
- Additional skills:
- Excellent ability to manage a team;
- Excellent ability to deal with the suppliers;
- Knowledge of export/import procedures and documentation.
