JOB TITLE
Project Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION
Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
Main Responsabilities
- Creates an overall work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project;
- Determines the resources required to complete the project;
- Executes the project according to the project plan;
- Develops forms and records to document project activities;
- Monitors the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Reviews the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
- Monitors cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis
- Ensures that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
Experience and Qualifications
A 5 year (Masters) university degree in Engineering Science;
A minimum of 15 years of experience in national and international projects;
Experience of infrastructure or utilities construction projects; especially linear developments (e.g. roads, railways, pipelines, power transmission lines);
Strong commend of English.
