Duties and responsibilities
Basic function and scope of responsibilities:
· Manage daily operations of the Business Unit according to the company’s targets, policies and mission to ensure excellent customer service, enhanced productivity and maximized profit and sales while minimizing costs;
· Responsible for the general operations of the shop floor, cash points, warehouse and administration departments.

Principal responsibilities:
Customer service
· Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, which includes establishing the eye contact with the customer, greeting the customer, helping customer to find the desired items, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service;
· Resolves issues of the customers; communicates the information to the customers clearly and correctly;
· Implements and enforces all company policies/statutory requirements and ensures that all associates do the same as well.

Shop floor maintenance
· Leads, organizes, plans in advance and supervises all daily operational processes carried out in the store, including store administrative duties, cash desk operations, physical inventories, price changes etc.;
· Keeps exterior and interior of the store(s) according to the company’s standards;
· Moves around the store(s) premises regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues;
· Organizes special promotions, displays and events in coordination with Marketing and Purchasing Departments ensuring they are run according to the company’s standards;
· Maintains and utilizes the cash desk, local system, surveillance equipment etc;
· Initiates changes to improve the store operations (ex. opening hours, products selections, prices, promotion events etc.).

Cashdesks supervision:
· Manage and controls the cash flow and cash movements of all cash desks in the store and between the store(s) and the banks;
· Helps the cashiers to resolve the problems in their operations in coordination with IT Department;
· Control of the Collection process of the cash from the Cashiers at the end of the shift, checks it against the fiscal printer and cash register invoices results; deposits the cash in the bank according to the company’s procedure.

Staff supervision:
· Leads and supervises the team in all daily store(s) operations;
· Develops and maintains a competent, enthusiastic and courteous team through coaching, supervision anddelegation of responsibilities;
· Ensures that all store(s) personnel are properly trained and work according to the company policies and procedures;
· Manage the working hours of the staff, constantly trying to maximize labor effectiveness and productivity;
· Provides a positive working environment, keeps the employees’ spirit up, acknowledges good performance of the employees;
· Handles employees’ issues appropriately and in timely manner being aware of company’s values and business ethics;
· May deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential candidates, conducting evaluations and performance reviews, as well as organizing training and development programs;
· Conducts regular team meetings, timely communicates the information to the team members regarding any relevant changes of the store activities, special promotions, sales items, legislation changes, etc;
· Ensures employee awareness of hygiene, safety and emergency procedures;
· Serves as a role model to the rest of the team in the behavior, customer service and compliance with the company policies and procedures.

Sales:
· Responsible for sales of the store(s), reaching sales targets and increasing profits;
· Analyzes sales figures and forecasts future sales volumes to maximize profits;
· Maintains awareness of new market trends in the retail industry, understanding customer expectations and monitoring what local competitors are doing;
· Generates reports on sales, write-offs etc. and submits it to the respective departments in accurate and timely manner.

Stock:
· Manages stock levels and makes necessary decisions about stock control;
· Forecasts product demand and place orders to meet demand well in advance;
· Ensures that the merchandise and goods are displayed in store to their best and are fully satisfying the needs of the customers;
· Maintains correct price list of the merchandise and ensures that all displayed merchandise is properly priced and all price changes are made in a timely manner;
· Maintains rotation of the stock at all times ensuring highest quality and freshness of all products;
· Monitors loss prevention and write-offs system;
· Handles damages and spoiled products according to company policies and procedures;
· Conducts inventories as per company’s policy schedule and conducts physical inventories on regular basis.

Budget control:
· Reaching all objectives established by the company;
· Daily, weekly and monthly control of sales data vs. budget and vs. previous year;
· Control of the turnover of stock of each department;
· Control of productivity levels of the department (worked hours, sales productivity etc.);
· Write Off and inventories;
· Cost control and other materials (electricity, telephone, shopping bags, stationeries etc) allocated to each department.

Documentation:
· Manage all store reports according to company’s policy and local legislation requirements;
· Prepares all the invoices (including credit notes status documents) and other documents for the accounting department based on the instructions given by it in a written form within the required deadlines;
· Provides accurate information to the accounting department on a timely manner.

Other:
· Performs other duties/tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or other authorized staff;
· Complies with the values, vision, mission, strategy and all company internal policies and procedures;
· Complies to all local legislation standards and requirements (sanitation and hygiene, safety and security, fiscaland tax law, labor law, health safety and security etc).

Requirements
Education:
University degree in Business administration or any other related field.
Working experience:
Minimum of 8 years in retail management working experience.
Additional qualification:
· Very good computer skills and excellent knowledge of the cash register operations and ability to resolve problems related to the cash desk equipment;
· Good command of English language – spoken and written;
· Good command of Microsoft Office Package (excel, Word, Power point).
Personal and organizational skills:
· Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise the store employees including the ability to lead by example, being fair, set clear expectations and priority of work to be accomplished;
· Ability to effectively supervise daily operations of the store(s) in order to make profit to the company and minimize the costs including the ability to handle all aspects of retail operational and merchandising management issues, from the receiving delivery of stock to the store to the final sale of the product to the customer;
· Ability to provide the necessary training and coaching to the employees;
· Ability to communicate effectively with varied levels of management, customers and store employees with excellent verbal, written and listening skills;
· Ability to analyze situations, to identify problems, to make decisions and find solutions in order to meet Company standards;
· Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment handling stressful situation and working under pressure;
· Ability to work on his/her own without supervision of other staff, taking initiative and coming up with new ideas.

Work Conditions
Salary:
Based on job qualification and experience.
Performance evaluation
From CEO and HR Manager, based on the job performance and achievement of objectives.
