Developer
Job Summary
Reporting to the development lead, the developer will be part of a development team responsible for providing application development and unit testing for Intergraph Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) applications on a mission critical project.
The developer will be familiar with working in a software project environment integrating with existing COTS products, able to work on their own initiative and as a part of a large development team.
The persons will stay for 1 year in Rome, Italy. There will be the possibility to fly to Albania several times during the staying in Rome. The accommodation will be provided by the host company.
Responsibilities
- Development of and support for locally developed code in accordance with the defined design specification and interface specifications.
- Generation of efficient and compliant code in accordance with the established coding guidelines, identified Human Factors, and industry best practices.
- Ensuring that all code developed is correctly documented, tested, and securely maintained.
- Communication of any changes arising to the interfaces, database schema, design documentation, and
installation documentation as a result of the accepted solution.
- Responsible for undertaking defect impact assessment and resolution to support the fixes release plan and the planned test events.
- Working to defined project methodologies and adhering to documented procedures.
Skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work to defined deadlines.
- Technical skills:
- Proficient in the use of development tools, including VC++, .NET, web development.
Qualifications
- Degree level or higher education or equivalent job experience for the role.
Experience
- Essential
- Minimum 3 years in C++ development environment is highly Desirable
- .NET.
- C#.
- Oracle DBMS experience.
Advantageous
- Computer Aided Dispatch experience (I/CAD suite by Intergraph).
- Desirable to have experience in the delivery of mission critical development projects.
- Preferred experience of DOORS and Quality Centre applications.
Security Clearance
All candidates must either be security cleared or be prepared to obtain security clearance to SC (Security Check) level. All job offers will be conditional subject to the candidate obtaining BS (Baseline Standard) level clearance prior to employment.
