Job summary
As FinanceAssociate, you’ll prepare report on and analyze financial results, costanalyses and budgets. You’ll produce reports on financial results, for reviewby management. To achieve this, you’ll be expected to have excellent attentionto detail, general knowledge of financial analysis, and basic working knowledgeof commonly used software programs.
Responsibilities
· Generate monthly reports of financial results, for review andanalysis
· Compare actual financial results to the forecast, and explain variances
· Monitor expenses charged to the business unit, to confirm thatpostings are accurate, and establish who owns the charge. Work with internal and external Ernst &Young personnel to verify information
· Help prepare annual financial plans and periodic forecasts
· Review, reconcile and analyze the general ledger account.
· Perform inventory reporting as required
· Interact with internal personnel and external contacts, to verifyinformation and resolve open issues
· Support client partners and engagement managers in the effectivefinancial management of the external client engagements by ensuring that theyhave accurate, timely and relevant engagement financial information
· Provide full support and data services to client servingpersonnel: in structuring and monitoring engagement economics namely:
· Analyzing unbilled and billed inventory
· Managing the billing process including the preparing of fee noteson an engagement for client
· Monitor reports and challenge KPIs against planned measures.
· Ensuring Engagement Realization Percentage (ERP) has beenrigorously reviewed and accurately reflects reality
· Ensure engagement metrics are updated on a timely basis.
· Reviewing of Collections where applicable
· Reporting
Knowledgeand skills requirements
· Strong research, communication and presentation skills
· Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks concurrently
· Proficiency with computers and financial software packages.
Experience
· 1-2 years of experience in a related accounting or analysisfunction
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline,or equivalent work experience
