Job Description
We are looking for a PHP/Java Web Application Developer with experience in designing, modeling, developing, debugging and integrating web application solutions in a business environment. The job position requires significant professional experience developing complex, database-driven PHP/Java web applications designed on MySQL and PostgreSQL databases including spatial extensions. Experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) is necessary.
The developer will be responsible for the creation of web based and mobile applications that support business operations. The developer must have strong interpersonal skills and should have the ability to turn business requirements into user friendly software features. Reusable code is important, using object-oriented design where possible. English proficiency is a requirement for the job.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 4-7 years of programming experience. Open to experienced non degree.
Professional experience developing/architecting PHP/Java based web applications.
At least 3+ years of PHP, MySQL and object-oriented programming.
Significant experience in jQuery/CSS/HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX development.
3+ years of websites and web applications development.
English language proficiency.
Exposure to Android development.
Experience with Magento is a plus.
Skills
Analytical, problem solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
Ability to turn business requirements into user friendly software features.
Experience upgrading, enhancing, and maintaining an existing code base.
Must be able to take initiative, work independently and be innovative.
Excellent customer service attitude.
Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and collaborate in a small team.
