Optical Network Planning Engineer
A start-up telecommunications and technology company is looking for an experienced Optical Network Planning Engineer with the following skills:
At least 5 years telecommunications/data network planning, design, engineering optimization, and testing.
Experience in conducting network capacity and traffic analysis, bandwidth engineering, switched and transmission backbone and/or access to other networks are very beneficial.
Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Write formal delivery methods of procedures
Analysis of short and long term capacity requirements for transmission. Conduct economic and traffic growth to determine impact on network capacity and development plans.
Develop alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
Must have strong knowledge of telecommunication with background in service providers such as wireless/cable/ISP operators preferably in HFC and ADSL 2 technology.
Possess emerging market trend savvy such as voice/data convergence/multicast.
