We are seeking to recruit: Relationship Manager

Job purpose:


Exploit business opportunities and develop close relationship with portfolio’s clients, with focus on Mid-size and Corporate enterprises.




Promote Bank’s products/services, through direct and efficient communication with clients, and in line with Bank’s Commercial and Risk Strategies / Policies in force.




Provide adequate coverage of needs and structuring of related internal proposals, for enhancing relationship with portfolio’s clients.




Contribute to development and expansion of Bank’s revenues from co-operation with portfolio’s clients, through diligent management of risk – return activities.


Direct reports to: Division Manager

Main Responsibilities:

Management of Portfolio Customers:

· Develop prime relationship and target long-term co-operation with customers.

· Identify new business co-operation opportunities with existing or new clients, by closely following up market developments.

· Plan contacts, hold frequent meetings with clients, under pre-defined action plan and business objectives agreed with direct supervisor.

· Maintain systematic communication with clients, for further developing and/or reviewing co-operation issues and terms.

· Provide periodical internal reports to direct supervisor and business line’s management, related to meetings with clients and recommendations on business issues addressed for discussion.


· Collect periodical business–economic data on clients, for evaluating co-operation terms.
· Evaluate co-operation opportunities with clients, under acceptable profitability and success rate, by considering (including but not limited to): clients’ business performance and reputation; assessment of compliance or legal risks related to clients; expected direct return (account profitability) and side benefits for the Bank; other relevant elements for structuring a co-operation (i.e. committed type and volume of transactions to be channeled through our Bank, security package offered, cross-selling opportunities etc.).

· Co-ordinate collection of new or updated legal/commercial documents delivered by clients when establishing account relationship or performing transactions with the Bank, if deemed appropriate.

· Generate proposals, suggest solutions and commercial strategy to follow on specific clients.

· Propose tailored offers in favor of clients, in co-operation with other Bank’s units.

· Propose amendments to existing co-operation terms & conditions with clients, based on their business performance and Bank’s profitability generated from co-operation with clients.

· Work closely and co-ordinate with other team members and/or other Bank’s units, for supporting clients’ banking needs on day-to-day basis.

· Identify and co-ordinate cross-selling opportunities with clients, in co-operation with other Bank’s units.

· Deliver preliminary (non-committed) or final offers to clients.

· Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, until materialization of co-operation.

· Provide support and advice to clients for enhancing co-operation with the Bank.

· Handle clients’ complains, in line with Bank’s procedures and policies in force, and by coordinating with other Bank’s units.

· Monitor and inform business line’s management about market developments regarding products and services offered by competition to specific clients or segment of clients.

Credit Portfolio Management:

· Administer credit requests (i.e. new, renewal, amendments) placed by assigned portfolio clients, or credit reviews defined as per Bank’s internal regulations, by coordinating steps with direct supervisor.

· Collect business and legal documents produced from clients, as well as generated from market sources, in order to examine credit application, prepare detailed business–financial analysis, evaluate clients’ creditworthiness.

· Perform on-site visits to clients’ business premises and report on business issues or information verified or evidenced.

· Structure credit proposal, aligned to Bank’s policies and strategies in force.



· Submit completed credit report for review and approval from direct supervisor, business line’s management and Bank’s credit decision-making authorities. Present the credit file during related internal meetings, if so requested.

· Inform clients on credit decision and negotiate approved terms and conditions.

· Follow up and coordinate actions with other Bank’s units (i.e. checking, preparation and signing of credit documentation, registration of securities, utilization of funds, etc.), until materialization of credit transaction.

· Monitor and report implementation of credit approval conditions.

· Monitor and report payment of clients’ credit obligations.

· Alert direct supervisor and business line’s management on issues/concerns related to clients’ credit performance and propose actions to be taken.

· Monitor daily non-paid/overdue credit obligations and propose actions for collection of due amounts.

· Monitor business performance of non-performing clients and generate proposals for re-structuring of credits (when appropriate), or credit recovery actions.

· Update regularly clients’ credit files with new information/documents.

· Prepare credit reviews as per credit approval conditions and Bank’s internal credit policies.

Criteria to be fulfilled:



University degree in Economic Sciences (preferentially)
Minimum 3 years of banking experience (at least 2 year in relation with business clientele)
Prior experience in sales position in banking system.
Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of French is preferable
