On behalf of our client, a well known company operating in telecommunication industry we are looking for a potential candidate for the position of: IP Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION: IP Engineer
General Summary: Responsible for the technical review and implementation of network changes.
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
• Responsible for IP transit services in collaboration with IP transit Providers
• Installing, supporting and maintaining new/existing hardware.
• Create and update network infrastructure configuration/documentation.
• Provide input to the manager of Provisioning teams to define / refine group practices to meet team's objectives
• Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network
REPORTING:
• Department Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent degree ; and a minimum of 4 years of experience as Network Engineer ; Knowledge on L2 standards and on L3 IP transit protocol and policing; Proven knowledge of Cisco routers. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
