We are looking for a potential candidate for the position of Chief Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION: Chief Engineer
General Summary: Identifies opportunities in the medium- and/or heavy-duty diesel, dual fuel and natural gas engine spaces through analysis and networking to develop leads and convert to sales, both individually and jointly with market-focused business development and engineering teams
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
• Collaborates with senior leadership team to identify and create new service offerings in engines
• Provides technical leadership in identifying and devising innovative solutions in engineering services
• Stimulates internal knowledge and interest in new innovations and emerging advanced engineering technologies; educates technical and non-technical staff in their uses
• Coordinates internal technical staff to establish capability with customer; leads project teams through alignment and delivery of technical deliverables, tools and methods consistent with client engagements and needs
• Forecasts operating costs for projects and prepares project reports
• Confers with others to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer demand for new and existing services
•Identifies, integrates and standardizes best practices with respect to key technical deliverables such as modeling and other technical analyses
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degreed engineer, master's preferred; Five (5) years related experience, including responsibility for engineering solutions from design to application in diesel engine technologies; Understanding engine manufacturing processes; Experience seeking new business opportunities and convert them into well defined and efficiently resourced proposals; Experience in project leadership and managing programs involving multiple disciplines and departments, without direct reports ;Solid knowledge of industry-standard legal and business language, including familiarity with contracts, payment terms, proposals, pricing, margins, etc.; Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Comfortable with frequent travel and periods of high work load
