VisionFund Albania shpk, the microfinance institution of World Vision Albania, is seeking:
Risk Officer in Head Office, Tirana
Duties Includes:
• Lead the overall risk management process of the VFA based on the
internal risk management framework.
• Manage the credit risk through effective application of the credit policy
manual and procedures.
• Plan, organize, control and asses the activities of the Credit Risk
• Ensure that created risk related policies and procedures are followed
according to the regulatory guidelines of VFA Credit Risk Policy, Risk
Strategy and other Internal and External regulations.
• Develop appropriate risk related policies and procedures specifically for
Risk sector
• Analyze and interpret the reports from loan tracking system in order to
track possible operational risk.
• Provide operation department with adequate recommendation on the
operational activities, loan approvals, and loan products.
• Evaluate all new loan products working closely with related departments
ensuring that risks are fully understood
• Report to Senior Management Team or/and to immediate manager fraud
cases according to the internal reporting policy.
• Part of Risk Management Committee
• Recommend appropriate risk management procedures and limits for loan
process
Qualification and Criteria to be fulfilled:
• University degree in economic science
• At least 2 years experience in credit risk in a bank or microfinance
institution or other business-related area
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English
• Strong experience in credit analyzing, credit collateral and approving
loans
• Experience in assessing, monitoring, reporting and addressing the credit
risks
• Experience in training design and presentation of credit risk related
materials
• Ability to communicate professionally using effective verbal/written skills
• Willing to travel around the country
• Strong working knowledge in Ms Word, Excel and Loan tracking System
• Hardworking and strong interpersonal skills
• A full commitment to World Vision's core values and humanitarian
mandate
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work in minimal supervision
