“MERCATOR-A” shpk part of MERCATOR GROUP, Southeastern Europe’s leading retail chain in fast moving consumer goods is seeking for a candidate to cover the vacant position of: ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
• Records the daily accounting transactions in the accounting software based on IFRS as well as in compliance with the Albanian Accounting and Fiscal Legislation;
• Prepares the accounting books as follows:
• general ledger;
• inventory ledger;
• fixed assets register;
• banks transactions;
• purchase and sales ledgers;
• Participates in the preparation and calculation of off-invoice process and handles the invoicing process to suppliers;
• Performs the operational reconciliation of the accounting system with the inventory management application on the level of invoices and documents;
• Follows the accounts receivable and accounts payable process;
• Assists in the monthly and/or annual inventory procedures being that of merchandise or cash points inventory under the supervision of the senior accountant;
• Prepares periodical financial reports on a moderate level of complexity as related to the assigned duties.
• Submits periodical reports to the various governmental institutions tax authorities, customs, etc.
Successful Candidate:
→ possesses university degree in Finance/Accounting from a reputable university;
→ has very good knowledge of Finance 5;
→ has 2-3 years of accounting experience in the relevant field;
→ has good knowledge of English Language;
→ possesses organizational skills;
→ has ability to prioritize overlapping tasks and to act in a responsible manner to meet deadlines;
