Emporiki Bank - Albania S.A., member of Crédit Agricole Group, is seeking to recruit experienced and dynamic employee in our Risk division in Head office.

We are seeking to recruit: Credit Risk Assessment Specialist / Business

Job purpose: Business (Corporate & SMEs & SBEs) Credit Risk Assessment Specialist assists the Head of Credit Risk Assessment Sector in the development of credit risk assessment for SME and Corporate customers, with reference to Bank’s internal policies and procedures, ensuring that the bank implements sound fundamental principles that facilitate the identification, measurement, monitoring and control of credit risk

Direct Reports to: Head of Credit Risk Assessment Sector

Main Responsibilities:
- Estimates the financial data and financial analysis on each borrower (business activities) clearly, identifying financial strengths and weaknesses;
- Assesses the credit worthiness of SME & SBE and Corporate borrowers according to local and group standards;
- Performs detailed assessments and critical in depth analysis of projection including comments on business performance, debt repayment ability, liquidity, and refinancing risk;
- Evaluates the client’s ability as a going concern to meet contractual obligation towards the bank and validate the Customer Rating for the approval by the respective authorities;
- Gathers information about proposed business borrowers in order to have clear information about the parties economically related even giving overall assessments of the sector when the client deals;
- Makes appropriate recommendations / opinions to Head of Sector regarding the credit proposals of new and existing customers;
- Prepares the Risk Decision Advice Note/ Credit Risk Opinion for Retail/Credit Committee;
- Gives risk consent for the pre-disbursement/renewal/amendment/rescheduling conditions;
- In case of persistent delays assesses the procedures proposed by business line (Enterprises / Retail) to be applied in accordance with the restructuring and non-performing loans policy;
- Helps in ensuring that procedures comply with sector standards;
- Stays informed about the legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues involved in the approval of credit facilities;
- Advises and recommends changes in policies and procedures;
- Permanent member and Secretary of the Retail Committee. Prepares / circulates the agenda to the members accompanied with the relative documentation (credit files); Invites guests to participate in the Committee’s meeting in case the agenda requires so; prepares the minutes and submit them to the members;
- Liaises with other staff within the company, especially Business Line, Legal Office, Compliance Sector, Recovery Sector, etc. to facilitate and approve transactions in compliance with the bank regulatory;
- Prepare other recurring reports required by Head of Sector;


The ideal Candidates should have:

- Proven analytical thought processes and ability
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to develop and propose solutions. Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across work teams
- Strong oral and written negotiation and communication abilities

Criteria to be fulfilled:


- University Degree in economic science.
- Master Degrees are preferable.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in related fields is preferable.
- English proficiency.
