This position will report to the Delhaize Group VP Legal Affairs Southeastern Europe (solid line) and to the Albanian Country Manager. It will be member of the Executive Committee.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide the relevant company structures with legal support and advice as to the proper interpretation of all relevant laws and regulations. Prepare legal opinions in relation, but not limited to the commercial, taxation, finance, property employment, internet, and corporate issues.
- Assist the Legal, Regulatory and Strategy Director in the development of the strategy for the legal function, set its objectives and responsible for its execution in alignment with Delhaize Group’s legal strategy and objectives.
- Prepare strategy in legal proceeding and represent the Company before the courts, as well as state institutions or other authorities
- Manage legal risks appropriately and opportunities areas, in order to protect the company.
- Draft and negotiate contracts required by the Company for its business.
- Co-operate with and supervise external attorneys in cases where external support is required.
- Will have the full responsibility of legal support to the strategic priorities of Euromax
Profile Requirements
- University degree in Law
- Very good knowledge of Consumer Law, Competition Law, Commercial Law, Contracts, (Advertising, Telecommunications Law, Intellectual Property, Internet, E-commerce will be advantage)
- Member of the Albanian Chamber of Attorneys
- At least 5-6 years of relevant working experience in any legal field, preferable in Multinational Companies
- Excellent command of Albanian and English language, both spoken and written
- Experience in project management
- Excellent negotiating skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to balance speed and accuracy
- Strategic view of the business and the ability to deliver legal services in a complex matrix organization
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Budget management skills
- Presentation skills both spoken and written
- A strong personality with equally strong business orientation
