TITLE: Commercial Manager
DEPARTMENT: Commercial
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Summary:

The Commercial Manager will provide leadership for the development of centralized purchasing, with key goals of assuring compliance with all procurement regulations and other guidelines for obtaining competitive pricing.

The Commercial Manager is responsible to manage and coordinate the procurement of supplies, services and equipment needed for business operations. The successful candidate will develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, lead times, and prices that support a highly dynamic and efficient operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops Purchasing Vision and Strategy in alignment with the Group framework and goals.
Directs and generally supervises the day-to-day activities of the department, including, but not limited to, the purchasing, sales of its products with the objective of maximizing profitability and growth.
Sets up the assortments range for retail and wholesale in coordination with wholesale manager and retail manager when needed.
Organizes quarterly or annual meetings with the suppliers to agree the terms and the conditions of the partnership and makes sure that reaches the best conditions for the benefit of the company.
Reviews and directs the development of new market opportunities and requirements for existing products and new products.
Develops, utilizes and leverages professional purchasing systems and techniques.
Sets up a Company buying strategy and budget according to the overall business strategy of the company.
Develops and implements Category Management purchasing strategies - to push for innovation in the overall category groups.
Establishes and develops appropriate forecasting and KPIs
Reviews and holds full responsibility about the stock level and quality of it.
Description of Other Duties:


Assure department records are maintained and purchases are followed up or expedited when required. Department records include price histories to provide information on price variances.
Manage purchase orders to maintain desired flow of goods and components
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in analyzing technical data with suppliers’ proposals (price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection, etc.).
Excellent decision making skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Superb planning and organizational abilities.
Hands-on project management skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office application as well as experienced with the internet for purchasing resources and other information.
Solid mathematical skills; understand supply-chain management; and be able to carry out some financial analyses, such as break-even analysis, projections, and other similar functions related to purchasing decisions
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of similar experience in a Retail or Distribution Company
College degree (MBA preferred)
Excellent teamwork skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Very good command of English language
