Finance Director
We are inviting interested candidates to apply to the Finance Director vacancy, on behalf of Delhaize Albania part of Delhaize Group, one of the most important retail companies all over the world, operating in 11 countries, 6 continents, in a network of 2.816 stores in Europe, USA, and Asia. From July 2011, Delhaize Group has acquired Euromax SHPK, the most successful retail chain company in Albania and is now looking for a successful finance manager, ambitious change agent, able to fit in a multicultural environment, ready to join the company and accompany in its ambitious expansion plans.
Job Role:
The Finance Director will be part of Albania Steering Committee and will report to the regional CFO/VP, while managing a team of 15 employees in charge for general accounting, retail accounting, financial planning, reporting, analysis and treasury. Key aspects of this position include partnering with operations and providing financial guidance in order to ensure proper investments are being made and financial objectives are being achieved.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the proper and timely reporting under local GAAP, IFRS / Delhaize Group Accounting policies
Enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with local accounting regulations and IFRS
Manage financial reporting and analysis by providing financial analysis for pricing, operational results, forecasts, budgets
Review forecasts, analyze key performance indicators to identify underlying business issues and provide input to managerial decisions
Overall responsibility for ensuring on time payments to suppliers, to meet contractual obligations
Participate and lead in various projects which are of a strategic importance to the Group: SAP FICO, SAP Retail, European Cash-Pooling
Responsible for internal and external auditing of company results, reporting and processes
Responsible for providing full and detailed periodic reporting on progress against budget and any areas of concerns
Lead the development, upgrading and implementation of reporting processes, analytical tools and internal processes to enhance management decision making
Be a proactive finance business partner in the region.
Competencies and Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting; local or international CPA and / or MBA a plus
Minimum 7 years in finance and accounting supervision, of which at least 3 years with accountancy firms or international companies, preferably of cross functional, matrix environment
Experienced in IFRS and IAS as well as solid understanding of Albanian Accounting Standards are considered must
Demonstrated financial analysis and forecasting expertise as well as ability to convert detailed financial analysis into understandable summaries and recommendations
Superior English and PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Finance 5
Excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills which allow for working with multiple levels of management across the group and all levels within the organization

Process Optimization Focused - A visionary with ability to identify and implement process improvements
Team player; comfort in operating within a dynamic, complex organizational structure
